Terms and Conditions

Effective date: February 1, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all cleaning services provided by Happy Fresh Cleaning (“we,” “us,” “our”) to you (“you,” “client”). By booking a service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Area

We serve Cornwall, Ottawa, and the Seaway. Availability may vary by location.

2. Estimates and Pricing

  • Quotes are based on the information you provide (size, condition, scope, frequency, add-ons, and access).
  • If the space is significantly different than described, we may adjust the price before starting or upon arrival.
  • Taxes are [included / added] as applicable.
  • Minimum booking may apply.

3. Booking and Scheduling

  • Appointments are confirmed by text, email, or phone.
  • Arrival times may be provided as a window (for example, within 30–60 minutes) due to traffic and scheduling.
  • If we are delayed, we will communicate as soon as possible.

4. Access to Your Space

You are responsible for providing safe and timely access at the scheduled time.

  • If we cannot access the space within 15 minutes of arrival (and we cannot reach you), it may be treated as a late cancellation and a fee may apply.
  • If you provide keys, entry codes, or lockbox access, you authorize us to use them for service. Please ensure access details are accurate.

5. What’s Included

Services include the agreed cleaning checklist for the selected service type (recurring, deep clean, move in/move out, workplace/commercial) plus any add-ons confirmed in writing.

Not included unless requested

  • Exterior window cleaning
  • High or hazardous areas requiring special equipment
  • Biohazard, mold remediation, hoarding, or pest-related cleaning
  • Heavy lifting (furniture/appliances) unless agreed in advance

If you are unsure, ask and we will confirm what is included.

6. Service Limitations and Safety

For safety and quality, we may decline or stop work if:

  • There are unsafe conditions (aggressive pets, smoke, hazardous materials, excessive clutter blocking access, unsafe floors, or poor air quality)
  • There is a risk of injury or property damage
  • There is illegal activity on site

If a service must be stopped for safety reasons, the appointment may still be billable in part or in full depending on time spent and travel.

7. Pets

Pets must be secured or safely separated during the cleaning. If a pet prevents us from completing the service safely, we may skip certain areas or reschedule.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand plans change.

  • Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be charged a fee of [amount or %].
  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be charged [amount or %].

For recurring clients, repeated last-minute changes may require moving to an as-available schedule.

9. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due [at time of service / within 24 hours of service] unless otherwise agreed.
  • Accepted payment methods: [e-transfer / cash / credit card / debit / invoice].
  • Late payments may result in paused future bookings until the balance is paid.

10. Satisfaction Guarantee and Re-Cleans

If something was missed, tell us within 24 hours of the service and we will do our best to make it right.

  • We may offer a touch-up/re-clean for the specific area(s) within a reasonable time.
  • This does not apply to normal wear, pre-existing stains, permanent damage, or areas you asked us not to clean.

11. Breakage and Damage

We treat your space with care. If we accidentally damage something, notify us within 24 hours and include photos when possible.

  • We are not responsible for damage due to normal wear and tear, improper installation, pre-existing issues, or fragile items not disclosed.
  • Please put away valuables and delicate items before service.
  • Our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement, up to a reasonable amount, where applicable.

12. Supplies and Equipment

We may use our own supplies and equipment unless you request otherwise.

  • If you request we use your supplies, you are responsible for their suitability and safe condition.
  • For workplace/commercial clients, you may be asked to provide certain onsite items (such as garbage bags) depending on the agreement.

13. Photos and Marketing

We will not post identifiable photos of your space without your permission.

  • We may take before/after photos for quality control.
  • Marketing use requires your written consent.

14. Privacy

Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
